Service is sketchy.
Trying to post pics with no luck.
Rattled a small buck in from across the field to my West. And another small 8 came in from my North.
I’m set up on the edge of a big creek bottom over looking a horse shoe shaped bend in the the creek. I’ve got wheat to my East, cut Milo, wheat & alfalfa to my West.
This property is known for holding some big deer and several have been killed off of it in the past years.

Got turkeys and pheasants chattering. The sun is over the trees. The woods are alive and it’s a beautiful morning!

Heith is on a 400a farm.
He is in a stand that sits on the field edge.. the creek makes a very tight pinch to the west.. forcing deer to travel on the field edge.. or, if coming thru the woods, to be east of the stand, across the creek on a well worn trail.

Had a coyote come down the deer trail on the creek bottom and got my wind.
Definitely don’t want to booger up this set and property.
Gonna go help Brian hang a ladder stand for Talen.
Then I’ll be set up in another property.

Talen lands @ 9:45 tonight in Wichita and will be in a tree with me in the morning for his very first Kansas archery hunt. I’m super excited about it and hope to get him a buck killed on video.

I’ll update when I’m back in a stand.

Back in a tree!!!

Brian and I got Talen a stand hung. Hopefully Talen will have his tag filled early. Laid eyes on a nice buck with a doe going in to the property.
Brian & I will leave camp at 7:30 headed to the airport to pick T up. Tomorrow will be Talen’s first all day sit, bow hunting in Kansas.
I’m back in the same stand I started my Kansas hunt on Tuesday. No Combines are cutting Milo. Wind is perfect. Sun is shining. Deer have been moving 10-20 minutes before dark the last few days. Hoping Ol Big gets out of his bed and I can pull him to me if he isn’t with a doe.
