Thanks guys...yes, it’s a little stressful at times but the finished product should be worthwhile.

Forgot to post pics of the wood mantle we had built for the outdoor fireplace. Found a guy in McKinney that custom makes these out of reclaimed western red cedar barn wood....so we’re hoping it should weather well being outside in the elements 24-7.

It turned out to be exactly the look we were going for. [emoji106]

Thanks Randy. The hardwoods are being installed directly to the concrete with a glued down adhesive. I assume the painters tape just helps secure the boards together until the adhesive has time to cure.

Place looks great. 9 months seems about right too. It took my wife 10 months to build ours and she would have loved a extra couple of weeks to tighten more stuff up.
