    Vegas report

    Got back last night........
    It’s back to pre-Covid
    Crowded
Downtown is nasty, nasty welfare checks everywhere
    Strip was nice.....Venetian
Saw Rich Little Saturday night, good show, guy is 82 and still has it
Longest wait without reservations was about 30 minutes for food
Made reservations at the Oakville 4 days in advance, fair at best
    Hobby was crowed
Uber is 20-50% higher than taxis ??????
    First taxi rides in years
Did I say downtown was nasty!!!!!!
Carp tables (what I play) $15-$25 minimum
If you play slots, all are working

What does this mean? How were the mask police?

Thanks for the report. Going in 3 weeks. Are mask still mandatory? How much was a Uber ride? That’s usually all we use is Uber.

I think he's saying the crowd there was a little rough.

My BIL was there a few weeks ago and said about the same. He paid $75 to get a cab ride and said it was an hour plus wait for uber/taxis.

He also said that with the new weed legalization, that you could get a contact high just walking down the sidewalk.

That’s nuts about Uber. Appreciate the info.

Here now. Everything is wide open. Taxis are definitely cheaper. Restaurants 30 minutes to an hour without reservations. It’s freakin hot but having a blast

I’m in Reno right now. I know it’s not Vegas but no masks anywhere. I was in Tahoe Sunday and even on the Cali side no masks.

Its weird I've been there when the Taxis where cheaper then the next time the Uber and Lyft is cheaper.

We usually have 4 in our group so one wife has the Lyft and one Uber app. They would check pricing because from Location to Location there can be a big difference in price.

But its like a bearable dry heat compared to what we have here. Its all the heat without the pitstains.

We went 3 weeks ago. Crowd was definitely on the 'rougher' side down town and in a few of the casinos. We had the best luck with taxis and pricing was cheaper when we checked with other options. And as mentioned be prepared for the lovely aroma of the outdoors. You'll smell pot pretty much 95% of the time no matter what time of day. No masks were needed where where went as long as you 'were vaccinated'. When we were there they said the Monorail was just reopening so I'm supposing its up and running now. Restaurants weren't bad. Some we made reservations for and most of the time we walked right in. Most seemed to be understaffed though and orders took awhile.

Wonder what's causing the rougher crowds? Good to hear things are trying to get back to normal, I'd like to go back to Vegas pretty soon.
