Not sure maybe weight? I do know that the performance guys really like the coyote motor. The 7.3 is also easily upgradable from what I've read getting it close to 800 HP naturally aspirated!

They had to limit production due to the fact they could only import 50 running lights. They just put 1 in each… I think it saves weight

These are 1995 trucks. Notice the Dodge has a stepped hood and a pronounced grill, circular cornered at that.
Now the Ford has it's old square pickup look. Grill inset into the front along with the headlights. Seiously old school for pickup design.

Modern dodges/rams carry that lineage forward.

Now notice the Ford of this thread; stepped down hood with a round cornered pronounced grill.
Ford and Chevy to some extent have evolved into the Dodge look. It took Chevy a lot longer, may they were bu...real ugly until the last year or so they have made strides in their design/looks.

The lower half/ middle of the front is butt ugly. Literally looks like 3 peices of legos are coming together.

The 6.2 is heavy (Cast Iron block vs aluminum 5.0), but the big reason is Shelby, and hundreds of other tuners, has a ton of R&D into the 5.0, where as the 6.2 doesn't. If you google blowers for the 5.0, you probably get 20 or 30 different brands of blower. I'd guess there are only 1 or 2 blowers for the 6.2. The 6.2 swap is also a massive undertaking, which would require a new transmission, ECU, and fuel system, motor mounts and testing, and all of which again don't have the R&D hours that the 5.0 platform has into it.

The half ton 10 speed is the same 10 speed in the current Mustang 5.0, so the transmission also has massive amounts of R&D. The 6.2 doesn't have a great power/Torque curve for a high performance truck (kind of an oxymoron there...).

Those are just off the top of my head, and I am sure there's more.
