I’ve seen signs the east Texas woods are heating up , so I was very excited to hunt this north wind. I had a new mature buck that had showed up several days ago but I needed a north wind to hunt the stand. I get on stand at 4 pm today and this stud strolls in at 4:15. He acted like he winded me and left two times in spite of the perfect wind, but he came back. I actually blew the shot, however the Lord smiled on me and the slick trick took out his Carotid artery. I am so very thankful!!! Best buck ever! It’s better to be blessed than good!
