Hill Country Cull from this weekend

Shot this old cull over the weekend on our place in Gillespie County. Never seen him before and he came trotting in behind a doe. Pretty cool being I had my old mans handed down 30-30 (I added the scope) to take him with. Also anyone know what causes the holes in the horns? His bases were super heavy.

That is an awesome buck and I love the gun. I have an old open sight 30-30 from my dad. Carried it as a truck gun for years and have killed a fair amount with it. Congrats!

Now that is a very cool looking critter......congrats! Looks like some of the crazy deer we have on our end of Gillespie County.
