No nasty liver after taste. Or even during taste. Not near as nasty smelling while cleaning. And an awesome relief from back pack freeze dried meals on an archery elk hunt.

I shot a blue grouse on my first CO elk trip. I saved the tail and mounted it in my grage but dang beetles ate up my feathers.

Last elk trip to CO I shirked on shooting one at 15 yards but it was uphill, in a tree and nothing but canyon behind it. I didnt have the desire to lose a 300 grain broadhead on an errant shot on a grouse. It wouldve been nice to kill something that trip.
