    What to do near caddo?

My "deer win" is tomorrow at Caddo WMA. My wife calls any drawn hunt a deer win. This deer win will be a squirrel hunt... what is there to do when I am not blasting squirrels? Shreveport? Any Marshall happy hours tomorrow evening?

My buddy was supposed to go with me but his boss told him he can't have the day off tomorrow since it is his first week back after being hospitalized and out with covid for a month.

No clue but intrested in seeing how it goes. I've done the squirrel hunt at Keechi creek a couple times and had a blast. Thought about trying this one but don't think i put in for it. Hope you have a great time!

Sure thing! I will pm you my number.

I will be in town for 1 night most likely. My parents are sick and my wife has to work so unless they are better by Saturday I gotta watch the kid Sunday. But I will be there at 10 am tomorrow to set up a camp!

Don’t know but we camped on the Big Cypress Bayou on north end of Caddo last Friday night and really enjoyed it

Cool deal. Any tips? Never targeted pickerel before. What rod?

Go eat in Jefferson. As for Jackfish (Pike) any bass rod will work and a spinnerbait or jerkbait.

You going with me? I know there will be one standby plus you can help pay for my trip at the poker room haha.

I definitely scouted it out. I think may just hunt and fish when it ain't raining.

Auntie Skinners in Jefferson is a fun, old saloon with good food and beverages.

That's my buddies place, and he is definitely proud of his food.
He puts a lot of time & energy into that menu.

I only fly fish. I used the same streamers I’d use for big bass. I bet a spoon would work. I have caught them on lures that where meant to look like a sun fish.
