Picked up a cheap Compass with 4-12 Nikon Buckmaster scope on it Thursday. I’ve got a grand total of $65 in it, not counting the raffle ticket my wife bought for me last year (52 gun Masons Lodge, she gets me a ticket for anniversary every year).
Took it to the range yesterday to zero the scope and put a few rounds through it to season the barrel. Ran a Hoppes #9 soaked bore snake through it first, then a quick boresight. In the picture you can see the shots numbered. I ran the snake again after shot 3. Shots 4-6 were basically in the same hole. This is with the cheapest off the shelf 180 grain ammo that Academy had, the Federal NonTypical SP. I can’t wait to see what it will do with handloads.
