    The bucks love it...

I have used sweet feed for years in place of handcorn while bowhunting and have always had great success with it. It will gum up in a protein feeder though so this season I decided to feed in an old trough over by the feeder and see how it does. I'd say they like the trough. I've only been filling it for 3 weeks and I had 1500 pics of deer all over it every day. With all of the green browse I wondered how hard they would hit it. Anyone else like using sweet feed?

I used it one weekend when I forgot to buy corn and the landowner had a bag in the barn.
I only used about 2 pounds on two sits. Did have deer come in and eat it.

I've used sweet feed a few times but my go-to is alfalfa, especially the alfalfa that's ground like silage. They tear it up!

Every mature buck I've shot with my bow on that property that was a "trophy" was shot over a pile of sweet feed away from a feeder area.

Good deal, I’ll buy a bag for the back yard bucks.

I think the deer like eating free choice out of troughs much better than feed tubes.i use it at my house to stretch the protein I feed.they love 20% cattle cubes too.

I know of a guy up here where I live that uses a trough feeder like you have there. It definitely brings them in to his place.

Good looking deer Pineywoods. I have used on the ground before to attract them to new protein feeder locations. They hit it like candy. Where are you hunting? We might be neighbors.

I live in Livingston like you but hunt up on an old family place between Grapeland and Elkhart on the Houston/Anderson County line

Yep. I've used multiple brands. What their hitting hard right now is just 10% horse and mule from the feed store. I usually just grab the 12% from TSC
