Can this buck be a ten next year?

I let this big Kansas 9 walk earlier this year. Big ol' purdy guy but if he's a ten next year, he'll be special. He's gotta be 250 lbs plus.

I’d hope he makes a big 8! Do you have any history with the deer? Tough to say what he might develop into. Great deer regardless.

Quite possible, maybe even better than a 10. He looks early mature to me.

He could, he's only a three or four year old.

We had a 4 year old 7 point turn in to a nice 10 at 5. We went from a terrible drought year to a good wet year and he was able to reach his genetic potential. You never know but it’s possible.

He’ll never see another year if the orange army sees him! Got some serious potential though!

Nice buck,I've been watching two stud 9's for three yrs now, they r 5 or 6,They r definitely the bosses of the 580 acres I hunt,I keep hoping but I'm thinking that they r gonna stay that way. Good luck and happy hunting up there.

                            Why couldn't he?

I've watched several bucks over the years that bounced back and forth between being 9, 10, 11, and 12 points in consecutive years depending on range conditions and available nutrition.

                              Had a 135" 7pt at 6 turn into a 150" 11pt at 8 on a free range wtx place once upon a time. So...sure could happen.
