Friend of mine hunted Tara (Vicksburg, MS / Talulah, LA area) which is bow hunting only. Green scored 174”, 4 1/2 yr old deer, that weighed 170 lbs. Deer was run down from the rut. Due to the crazy spring flooding, this is the first time Tara was hunted in 2 years. Main frame symmetrical 12-point. If the G1’s had any length this deer would have eclipsed 180”

Some of the biggest deer ever killed come from that area ... Tensas Parish. It’s right on the MS River and the alluvial soil is perfect for rich nutrient crops. 250+ pound deer are common. FYI - That area is loaded with black bears
