    Tell me about convection microwaves

So we have a convection microwave and know pretty much nothing about a convection microwave. So what’s the big deal with them? Do y’all like them or not? What can you do with them?

We have just been using it like a normal microwave and feel like we are missing out on something.

You can actually bake cakes, biscuit or whatever in it just like an oven.
I’m looking for one to install in our new house, they’re hard to find.
Our motorhome had one instead of an oven, we learned pretty quick.

Our RV came with one too, which is why I’m asking. I need to look into it more. Baking in it would probably not heat up the RV in the summer nearly as much as using the oven. I had no idea!

They use a fan for air movement giving you better heat dispersement which is great for baking cakes, pies, biscuits etc... with little or no preheat time depending on the model and style.

If you buy an upgrade, make sure it is a 1200 or better.

Ours came with metal racks to set your pans on. I was amazed that the metal didn’t spark.
My wife liked baking in it so much that she wants one built into our cabinets.
As a matter of fact, you can bake and broil with it. They cook a fine homemade biscuit.
