Gonna try to do some fishing south dfw- lake recommendations??

So i’m Looking for some recommendations within an hr of Midlothian, preferably sout side dfw. I prefer bass but anything biting well I can catch out of boat with good action like whites even. Don’t want to sit still and work minnows.
Any particular lake like Whitney, Richland chambers, Navarro mills, joe pool etc. that have blood black or white bass action? Also recommendations on what they are biting on with all this rain and temperatures.
    I’m all ears.

Purtis Creek - also known as "little lake fork".

Sounds like Bardwell is picking a few bass coming off the dam

Most of the fish will be shallow now.

On sunny days throw a plastic stick bait like a senko, or TX rig creature and a jig. On cloudy day throw a moving bait, crankbait, chatterbait.

            Also throw a hollowbody frog.

Don't be scared to put your bait super shallow...like dirt shallow.

I would recommend getting out today or tomorrow, guides got the notification they are going to start closing corp ramps next week

Joe Pool has been good as of late. Black/blue jigs 6' and less.

I just don’t understand why they would close ramps, I saw on book of faces the lcra is gonna start closing ramps also. You can’t social distance much more than on the lake.

Haven't heard any recent scouting reports on Purtis Creek, but I've caught some lunkers out there on goldfish and live blue gill. Under the lights at one of the two fishing piers can be quite the experience. It's a small, no wake lake. Slow boats and kayaks on the water.

Most of the ramps at Lake Lavon are closed due to flooding. She's 9' over normal pool.
