Milam Co opening day

Well my first opening day in 17 years. My wife’s bday is Nov 3rd. Usually we are doing other things but this year she said she wanted to go hunting. She and our son are in a pop up to my south. I am in a ladder in a thicket on the edge of a field. I’ll try to update as much as I can but I left my glasses in the truck. Hard to type.

Got pigs in the field.



Wife said they have 6 deer in front of them.

Wife just text big buck. Out there f range for now. I’ve seen nothing. Pigs moved off at daylight.

Nothing this morning. There were a couple good bucks seen but we are all bow hunter …so you know how that goes. Going to be back at 4:30.

Flat Iron is a deer we have seen the last couple of years. He in a cull 10 point. He’s a cull because he is maybe 20” wide but his tines are only 4” long. He never has tine length.
