When I started dating Noah's Mom 6 years ago none of them even knew what hunting was. Honestly her kids were the video game type that never even went outside. That first deer season we spent Thanksgiving at the lease, and not only did his Mom fall in love with deer hunting Noah is eat up with it. Over the years he has been able to take a couple of doe, and in his mind became a pro lol. We chased a few cull bucks, but never got the right buck in front of us. This year he asked about getting to take a buck, but no obvious culls had shown up on the trail cams. I told him most likely not this year. Without letting him know I told my Wife I was going to let him take my buck for the year. at 5:15 Friday evening this guy made an appearance. He made a great shot with a crossbow. Slightly quartering away, exit wound in the offside shoulder. 40 yard track, and this kid was on cloud 9!! You can see it all in the smile! I have introduced many kids to the outdoors over the years including my own, and there is not much in life more rewarding. I am pretty proud of the young man he is becoming. Pass the torch, get a youngster outdoors. It might change their life..... and yours!
