I missed!!! Straight whiff!

Sitting in the stand this morning in the family farm watching the resident doe work through and had a yote pop out. Rather small dog so it took a second for me to figure out what it was. As what most of them do in the open this one was moving fast and I didn’t have much time. Got him to stop for a split second and had to rush the shot between bushes. BIG WHIFF! Can’t remember the last time I missed with a rifle.

Well, dumb dumb decided to come back though this afternoon at a slow leisurely pace and stopped broadside for me at around 170. Those 7 baby calves on the ground will be grateful because I don’t miss twice. ! My wife’s 7 WSM put him down!

Good shooting DD, congrats on the kill. You’re right, not many of them stop for me either. I was able to connect on one last weekend at similar range, he too stopped for just a second.
