Who has been boiling or is going to boil Crawfish? What are some of the going rates around Texas? I know they are about $4 a lb where I normally get mine.

Making my wife wait for the sub $2 price. Iím more of a fan of the beer that goes well with crawfish than the actual crawfish.

I can't believe folks pay that much for crawfish. I'll wait until after Easter and still not sure I'll pay that much. Probably just go catch a mess of blue crabs for free

Don't have much of a choice up here in N. Texas. I could easily drive to south Texas or over to Louisiana but would spend more than that in fuel.

Gulf Runner Seafood on Facebook sells to the NTX area. They pick up on Friday in Louisiana and you pick up on Saturday. Shrimp, oysters, mudbugs, boudin, andouille, gator. They were selling mudbugs $4 a lb this week but are sold out. Hope it helps ya.

It ask you when you first log onto the app and then again it says it at the very top of the page. You may have to let your phone know your location for it to work

Thank you for that info sir. The place I normally get them isnt on there but I think they are priced better if not the same as gulf runner. The crawfish I get from there are good size they are like miniature lobsters lol.

The freeze, and the hurricanes. I get an update every week from my supplier in Louisiana. They are thinking that it may be from all of the mosquito spraying they are doing because of the hurricanes. Fruge seafood does a weekly update on their Facebook. Their year to date harvest is still down 60% as of last week.

There's always an excuse for the price to be high . Too much water, not enough water, too cold, too hot, gas prices , always something..

Like most highly perishable products, price of crawfish is based on supply and demand. Lots of demand now, particularly during lint. Texas demand especially drives the market. Prices should drop some after Easter.

The crawfish are all purchased from the rice fields for the same price. Then the middleman/men jack/s up the price. Lowest price here are $3.19 boiled at Winne Dixie. But, there are much higher prices down the street. If you can hold out a another month, the prices will be much lower.

Thatís $1/lb better than we did, but they were tasty. And I was pretty surprised that they were a decent size.
