Been looking to get a new mattress since ours is 10+ years old. How many of yíall have ordered a bed in a box like purple, nectar, etc? Any of you tried to return one during the trial period? Been looking hard at the purple hybrid but itís hard to pull the trigger on a 2k mattress that I canít try out.

I am in the same situation. Need a bunch of mattresses for a coast house and looking at the bed in a box deals. Hard to commit without being able to a least see one. It would be a pain to send them back.

We went to mattress firm and lid on a bunch, wound up going with a traditional innerspring mattress. We had been through a few cheap Amazon bed in a box mattresses and were disappointed. Mattress has been awesome so far (two months) haven’t slept this good in years!

Wife and I love our amazon bed in a box. Didn't realize how bad our prior mattress was.

Looking for ideas myself. Messed up and bought a “soft” mattress about 9-10 years ago. Been time for a new one for a while now I just don’t want to spend the money

We have a Nectar and love it. It’s the best mattress I’ve slept on. It’s set up on the box springs from our old coil spring mattress.

No experience with them or trying to return one but I’d highly advise not going with a Tempurpedic air bed, worst $5,000 we’ve ever spent. We slept on it less than 3 months and it ended up in a spare bedroom.

Don’t have experience with a purple or nectar mattress but I can tell you I am enjoying the mew Tempurpedic mattress. Went ahead an went full out and got the adjustable bases with a soft luxe cooling mattress. Was not cheap but now it has been worth it. My sleeping has gotten so much better since we made the switch.

I rolled the dice and purchased a Layla because it offered a soft and firm and you could switch by just flipping the mattress. Price was right also! Tried the firm for the first night and the soft the second and the soft was perfect and havenít looked back. Didnít know how bad my old mattress was till sleeping on the Layla(soft).

We did Helix about two years ago. It's the best mattress I've ever slept on. I'll never buy a traditional innerspring only mattress from a big box store again. At the time, it had like a 1 year trial period. I called before we ordered to ask how the return process worked if we didn't like it, since it came in what is basically a giant vacuum sealed bag. They send a guy out to box it back up for you, free of charge.

Have had a purple for a 4-5 years. Overall solid mattress but I like a softer pillow top type bed so will probably be getting something else shortly.

Give Zinus a look. We have 4 of them and love every one of them. For the $$$ you can buy these for you can replace them every couple of years. Very comfortable

Im 100lbs heavier than the wife. We chose to do split king cause its impossible for us to have the same mattress comfort level. I need a firmer mattress with a topper on it, she likes plush. We both chose the coil hybrid mattress and its been the best sleep ever. Got our stuff at bel furniture. The individual adjustable bases are great.
Every all foam mattress I ever owned lost support. I have tried many.

Our DreamCloud pillowtop is awesome. I was concerned about not being able to "try it out," but that concern went out the window pretty quickly. It's been two years and couldn't be happier with it.

I purchased an 8" Zinus mattress for my camper and love it. We just ordered 4 8" twin sized mattresses for the bunk beds going in our container.

I recommend you look at them!

Have the same! Was a little scared at first we went to firm. But we where tired of caving into soft beds. It took some breaking in but itís getting better only had it about 2 months so far.

I bought an Intellibed from the state fair and would not buy one again. It was a non returnable sale so guess I got a great deal but got caught with the caveat. They are like purple with the grid, and just find it to soft. Canít sleep on stomach as you sink in and hurts your back. Back and side sleeping is alright but for 4K you think it would have been better. Next one I buy will have a return period even if I have to buy their mattress protector for it.

Just as I have posted in the many other threads about the same thing... Wife and I have been sleeping on a regular California King size water bed for the last 45 years... In that time, we've had to replace the mattress itself a couple of times, but same bed frame and such... Once you know how to fill it for you specific comfort level, it is the best, most natural sleep you'll ever have, period. We've thought about getting a conventional mattress from time to time, but one vacation in a hotel room, or just a night on one of our guest beds, and it's back to our tried and true... Ours is just a bladder... no baffles, stuffing or anything... Had back issues when we first go married, but they really went away after sleeping on the waterbed for about a month...

Nectar here also, itís great! After spending a week in our old mattress with mono last year, ordered a nectar and man was that great. Iíll say, it was sure heavy to drag 30 feet while sick, haha.

I believe Nebraska Furniture Mart carries them. I read a lot before we decided. I am a back sleeper and the wife is a side sleeper. Was looking for something that rated high for both. After 35 years in a water bed, I think the adjustable frame is what I like the most. Do miss being able to control the bed temp though.
