Nice!

I drew the Hag and Laguna Atascosa for the same time period 11/20-11/24 I don't know how that works but my luck they'll redact both drawings for me!

I'm in. Last year was my first time there and I fell in love with that place. I'm 25 minutes from Laguna Atascosa and didn't even put in for those hunts.

This will sound ungreatful I'm sure but with 4 points you would think I would have got at least one of my first two options. Instead I got segment C. Maybe at leasat the weather will be cooler.

I got drawn for 11/6 to 11/8 with 3 points (2 pts grandfathered from old system).

It will be my first time hunting there. I hunt mostly SHNF.

If anyone has advice for a first timer to Hagerman, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently looking into the Bowhunter Education requirements.

No on the proficiency- but you do have to have a bowhunter ed ceft.

I emailed the refuge directly and asked this today.

get some scouting time on your calendar. have a few different trees picked out before the hunt (plan A,B,C, and D). put every hour you can in the stand that weekend. take monday after the hunt off work if you can (I couldn't, but wish I could have). whether or not you end up connecting, enjoy the hunt!

This, don't show up for the Thursday stand setup day expecting to scout- know where you are going, setup, and leave.

Don’t shoot young deer. If you want Hag to continue to be special let the young ones walk.

For those that need the Bowhunter Ed course for Hagerman. We have scheduled a private course (field day only) for Saturday afternoon, 19 September 2020. It will be conducted at the Hagerman Refuge, and reserved for the drawn hunters. Limit will be set at 20.

As a reminder, you will need to complete the online portion.

PM me your email address and I'll respond with a link to the course as well as pertinent information.

That's what I have heard, so that's the one I chose first. This will be my first time going.
