    2x3 or 2x4 hunting blind

Building a 6x8 hunting blind for the kiddos to join me. I have been sifting through old threads. A lot of people seem to rip 2x4s to create 2x2s. I don't own a table saw and I could do it with a circular saw but not sure worth effort when I saw I could buy 2x3s at home depot.

My time is short so building on site and will be a project over the next month when I can get up to land.

Downside to just buying the 2x3s vs 2x4's?

I have ripped mine but would use 2x3 if I could ever find any straight enough for frame work

2x3 will work fine and they are definitely cheaper. You might have to add middle bracing between the studs, but if you go with 24" on center, you will want the middle bracing anyway. (I call it middle bracing but it is the horizontal brace between 2 vertical studs, like the way the old early 1900 homes were built.)
