Would shooting axis be considered habitat control?

Shooting any non native species is considered habitat control.

Your county biologist will love you if you shoot all of them.

better off to get paid by Trappers to come get them, they in turn flip them for a bigger sale to high fence ranches for hunters. Everyone wins..... or you could just invite buds over to come shoot them

We kill them for that very reason. Don’t fool with trapping them and kill them 24/7.

There is a business that will come and kill them for the meat. Real professional operation.
                  Sure helps pay for protein.

Because they are non native and eat up the native wildlife food, water ect

Yes, it's under: 1. Habitat Control - Prescribed Control of Native, Exotic, and Feral Species -
Prescribed Control of Animal Species -
Species being controlled --> Axis deer (male and female)
Method of control --> Hunting (or trapping if applicable)

This is on page 4 of the TPWD form.
