The Brady Goat Cookoff is always a good time, and they usually have some pretty good bands playing. Saw Cody Johnson there years back for $25, hard to beat a hunting doves in the morning, watching college football in midday, then an evening dove hunt, and finish off the day with live music in the heart of Texas.

The Heritage Syrup Festival in Henderson is a good, small town festival with something for everyone. My biggest problem is it falls on the second Saturday of November. Prime time rut hunting. Pretty much told the wife to call someone else to go with her as I would be in the woods.

        Watermelon Thump
        Gillespie County Fair and Rodeo
        Kendall County Fair and Rodeo
        Helotes Cornyval & Rodeo
Used to do the Blanco County Fair and Rodeo, but it was pretty lame this year.
Wimberley has 3 really good small town rodeos every year. Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor day

        Poteet Strawberry Fest
        Turkey Fest

All of the small town festivals are a good time.

Still have the tomato fest, but I don't think they've done the fight since the 90's. At least I haven't heard of it since then. I quit going to it several years ago. Always too hot.

We will be around. Me, wife, son and gf, daughter and bf. All the kids are out of college. Our ranch is about 7 miles from “downtown” Bertram. We’ll probably wonder around some Saturday afternoon and then come
Back for the music Saturday night. Glad to say hi if y’all want.

I know a few people that went to school up at SFA and they have talked about the Blueberry Festival in Nacogdoches. Never been, but they said it was a lot of fun and a good break during summer school.

We’ll be doing turkey fest this year.

Maybe we have a TBH campfire for everyone going??
