I’m already over it... I know most of the folks reading this are from Texas and we’re supposed to be excited about snow but I hate it. It makes a mess of everything.
Hunters dropped off and I’m parked on a field. I fully expect an early pick up request and I don’t blame them! It’s snowing sideways and frigid cold. Jake actually requested to be put in a ladder stand that he hunted his first two hunts. This dude must eat grizzly bears for breakfast to turn down a tank style blind with a heater for a ladder stand in the edge of a field. It’s nasty and I don’t expect much but we’re making the best of it.
A 32mph cross wind will drift that barclay1 280 load about 9ft at 500yd. So BBC basic as ally ho look d a full deer off him. Not that you can that far today anyway.
We’re all settled in. Jake is running the virgin sit in this stand and Ryan is in the snow cone stand where I killed my buck last year in the snow. A repeat would be awesome.
