TBHers, I need your help with tent camping locations

Last weekend, I attended the first half of a leadership training, called Woodbadge. It's geared towards scouting, but applies to all facets of your life.

The end goal, to "graduate", is to write a ticket. The ticket starts with a vision for your scouting unit. You then develop 5 goals to make that vision happen.

One of my goals is to compile 36 camping locations, into a catalog, to provide a quick reference for our camping coordinator to schedule our campouts. Each page will contain a location with all the details for that site ... cost, amenities, distance from Fulshear, etc. I'd like to keep these within a 2.5 hour drive of Fulshear, as that seems to be the threshold for a cub scout trip.

So far, I've got all the state parks, those were kinda easy.
    1. Lake Houston Wilderness Park
    2. Coleto Creek Park
    3. Goliad State Park
    4. Brazos Bend State Park
    5. Village Creek State Park
    6. Sea Rim State Park
    7. Stephen F. Austin State Park
    8. Huntsville State Park
    9. Lake Livingston State Park

Other camping sites are not so easy to find unless you're familiar with one that's in your area. If you know of one (or more) that's not on this list, that's within a 2.5 hour drive of Fulshear, please list it here. I can do the research and get all the info, once I have a name.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Look at the app called Hipcamp - it lists all the private places that are available, I thin you can filter for group campsites too

How about some spots that aren't "parks". Matagorda beach, etc.

Since these are cub scouts, we try to get places that have toilets and showers. These kids aren't quite ready to poop in the woods. But, if there are some facilities at Matagorda beach, it's definitely a possibility.
