No ****? I need to try Sweety Pies again. I live 12 miles from it and have been twice in 10 years.

Been too Sweety Pies a few times, but never had the Chicken Fry. Guess I’m going to have to try it next time.

Lot's of people say Mary's cafe in Strawn is the best, and it's good, but I actually think that the one at New York Hill in Thurber 5 minutes east on I-20 is better. I'll have to think about "the best CFS", they are one of my favorite meals. There are lots of really good ones in Texas. In my travels all over the country, I've never found a really good Chicken Fried Steak outside of Texas.

We had a pretty good CFS at the Koffee Kup in Hico a couple weeks ago. My 10 year old wiped that plate clean and looked up and said “dad…that was GUUUD!”

Hays City Store. Driftwood. Pan fried ribeye. The gravy is made in the pan. Just like you make at home.

Western Sky in San Angelo. Chicken fry is 8/10, but those German Fries they serve it with make the plate a 10/10.
