I played around town 1996-1999 after I graduated from ACU. Mark Powell moved to CO. You might check out Bracken Hale, he lived there for a while but he's been in Austin for about 20 years now. He's played at Mark Powell's Outlaws and Legends fest a few times.

I’m a big fan of Flatland Calvary. Have a good friend that went to Hardin Simmons and then hung around the Abilene area for awhile. He opened for them a few times when he was in a band and told me about them. Been following them since around 2014.
