Can you get on the bases or not?

The Navy has the best of the islands. Boca Chica Beach and yaught club, Truman Beach, Sigsbee...

You can book excursions for chump change and rent bikes through MWR on Sigsbee.

Fort Jefferson, It's 68 miles west of Key West. If you never heard of it look it up.

Brian Kilmeade on Fox Nation did a story on it.

Don’t rent a car unless you plan on leaving KW. Rent a scooter, much easier to get around and to find parking.

He said he is flying into Miami so he will be renting a car. It’s a very scenic drive when the weather is nice. Traffic can be slow sometimes though.

My son and grandson flew to Florida last week for $28 each. Planes tickets are crazy cheap right now if you look for them.

                  Trip update so far:

Bars (at least what I’ve seen) are closed. Restaurants with bars are open. Have to wear masks everywhere, even while walking down street, but can take them off while eating and such.

Started pouring yesterday afternoon while walking around, so jumped into margaritaville restaurant. Decent live music, food was ok, drinks were pretty good. Spent a bit of time wondering around after that, looks like some of the bars are selling drinks to go, just no real place to sit down and enjoy it. it was raining off and on and we were beat from getting up at 3am yesterday, so we called it a night at about 10.

Headed to Blue Heaven for lunch...looks like rain is coming again.

Ohh yeah....saw a few folks riding around like a moped gang, had stickers on their mopeds that said Gay Mafia. Also, lots of iguanas and chickens around here.

Do the live music performers have to wear a mask too?

The one at Blue Heaven is the first live performer I’ve seen who is wearing a mask, all others weren’t wearing while performing.

Wife wanted to do a couple’s massage, went to Southernmost Massage....unless you want a dude giving you a massage, I’d recommend going elsewhere. The wife said it was the best massage she ever got though.

Still trying to catch an iguana....maybe I need more alcohol. It continues....

                              Get it done son!!

My wife went after a 140" lizard in Mexico once. Even with alcohol she failed. But it made for a good laugh
