I bought one of my boy's a savage .17. You could punch out a dime with that sucker at 75yds easy with the crummy scope we had on it. But, he needed something with more bang, so we worked a deal to keep mama happy and he sold the gun and booted a little of his own cash and has a real nice 270 now. Still hasn't got first blood with that rifle.
