What did y’all cook for Mama?

Mama loves ribs and wanted ribs for her Mother’s Day meal. I told her I have no problem at all with that request, but if I’m gonna fire up the big pit, I’m throwing a brisket on too, so she got a bonus.
All turned out great. Brisket was a 13 hour cook with a 5 hour rest. Ribs were a 5 hour cook.

Happy Mother's Day

Ribs,chicken,sausage, and good company.

She requested brunch for her and our daughters who are also mothers. I cooked up 2.5lbs of bacon smoked on Traeger. 3lbs of pan sausage. 2 Dozen eggs scrambled with a stick of butter. Blueberry Pancakes with Maple syrup. Everyone got full and headed to the pool. Taught my oldest grandson, who is three, how to swim today. Good day.


We're taking my Mom and Dad to Morton's Steakhouse tonight.

Brunch was scrambled eggs, bacon, turkey sausage patties (don’t say a word! :rolleyes)and pancakes.

Dinner will be chicken flautas, guacamole, Queso, salsa and chips and cheesecake for dessert.

We don’t have kids but I still try to take care of her today. Couple prime filets on the grill here in a couple hours. Got her a couple bottles of her favorite wine. Probably be in bed by 8pm.

We did ours last night. My wife requested lamb chops and seared scallops on the kamado. Turned out great!
