Had the pleasure of playing golf with Mickey and Johnny weekly in the early 70's, played most of the Houston Municipal courses. His drummer got sick one week and I played drums for him on a couple of his TV shows. Very friendly and fun to be around.
Great entertainer that will be missed.

Only time I ran across Mickey in public was about 25 years ago in Pasadena at a barber shop. The barber kept yacking in Mickey’s ear as he just sat there while the barber cut and talked. Finally Mickey asked him if he was going to cut or run his mouth all day. Lol!

Saw him a month or so ago at 2920 Roadhouse with Johnny Lee.....his age crept up on him but still put on a great show.....
I made it to Gilleys 3 times before they shut it down.......

My brother is an extra in the movie....catch him on the dance floor for a couple seconds while Bud/Sissy were dancing......

                                RIP sir...love your music
