    check your knocks!

doing a little backyard practice between emails.

Sat down on my stool, shot one arrow, then another then knocked the third and drew back....upon the release, the knock snapped in half and the arrow did a funky sideways twist and went sideways ( kinda fell off sideways ) off the shelf.

sounded like a dry fire but hopefully the arrow caught enough energy as to not cause any damage to the bow.....after a visual inspection everything seems to be ok with the bow.

Glad it didn't cause any injury but it did scare the pizz outta me for a sec!

Good reminder, and flex your arrow after you pull them!

I went from plastic to aluminum nocks for exactly that reason.

I have a friend who uses Nomad nocks. Only ones I am aware of, but I'm not up on innovation. :-)

I was practicing yesterday when I noticed how loose my nocks had become, then one arrow fell off. Dental floss to the rescue!

            Check those nocks.

              check your knocks!

I’ve had a couple nocks break or slip off over the years. Never had it damage a bow, but it certainly could. It is for sure a bit unnerving when it does happen.

Glad you didn’t bugger anything up Brandon, and good luck this weekend!!!

Bisch didn't even penalize me a shot when a wood arrow did it in a shoot. Good ole Bisch. [emoji23]

The solid colored knocks are much more dependable than the translucent.
For some reason the translucent are way more brittle
