Anyone spent much time on either unit, archery or general season?

Recently moved about 2.5hrs from both units so might take a few trips out this year.
I just wanted to get an idea of the type of terrain and hunter/pedestrian activity I should expect to see on either or both units throughout the season.

More likely I’m out there during general season since I won’t have a ton of time to scout between now and November, and I have a USFS Antlerless Permit.

I don't know alot about those units and have hunted there very little but Bois d'arc unit gets alot of pressure during general season, vehicles and hunters everywhere some weekends

Deer are present but not in great numbers. The habitat is not suited for the growth of trophy bucks, yet a couple are harvested each year. Be prepared to walk and be mobile.

It's some tough hunting. Lots of pressure. I walked all the boundary lines over my 21 year career with the FS, marking trees and corners. Good luck.
