    Auto part help needed

    2012 ram 1500 5.7 4x4 lone star
Throttle body bolt stripped in the plastic.... Theres no metal insert or anything. IT IS on the intake manifold and only thing I can do is replace the whole intake manifold but there isn't any anywhere I have called all part stores around and none carry it deal says its not in production right now.... Anyone here sell parts or know how I can fix it stripped plastic?

Rock Auto shows to have them but they're $504. Seems kind of steep.

Maybe go get one off a truck from a salvage yard?

Could it be drilled out some and a hard two part epoxy be used to fill the hole? After it cures redrill to proper diameter and then rethread?

id try a helicoil one size bigger.. that should get you within the torque needed on a bolt on the tb-intake
they are simple to install and hold better than any plastic thread would

Try car-part.com it will show what the salvage yards have and you can sort it by who is closest to you.

                              Yep.

If not JB Weld, fill the hole full of epoxy and run the bolt in.
