Post your 2018 hunting season goal

I’m a believer in making your goals obtainable and transparent. I think it helps in the striving to accomplish them.
So post what you HOPE to accomplish this deer season, however big or small the task. Kill a 200”, get kids first deer,...... make it back to camp with both socks? Post it up

Mine:

1. Get daughters first hog
2. Arrow a 135”+ on public land

Kill a 5+ year old buck on public land (ideally), learn how to better pattern mature deer.

Take my two year old daughter to the blind with me one evening and her get to see a deer come in.

Shoot an east Texas deer (buck or doe) with my bow, last time was before 2003. Last deer with bow was in 2012.

3. Kill a public land deer with my bow. (I absolutely love hunting and camping in new spots and utilizing our wonderful resources. My favorite hunt last year was on public land.)

1. Fill the freezer with about 200 doves since I won’t have a 2019 dove season

2. Shoot a decent elk or 180”+ mulie to top last year

3. Shoot my first good buck with my bow that isn’t a cull or doe

4. Bag a wood duck and sling some steel at cranes and honkers
