What is the significance of the house shaped thing at the base?

Good question! It’s a scaled down reproduction of the ranch sign where I killed my goat!

What did you use for the sand to stay in place? Very nice

You can also use tan/brown colored caulk or match closet to your dirt color and spread the sifted dirt over it heavy and lightly press into the caulk. After caulk dries, remove the over layer. Seal with a matte spray sealer.
