    S Lake Tahoe

Two couples heading there in the morning. Probably see some overnight temps in the high 30's, so that will be nice. Lake will be pretty cold, but we still have a wine cruise scheduled, Some casinos at night, hiking and a Beer festival.

For all of you that have been there, what else do we need to catch??

It's highly unlikely, but if you can squeeze into Cafe Fiore, do so. Very small, quaint Italian restaurant worth calling about. In the past, you needed a reservation 2-3 months in advance.

Here now. 68 degrees today for a high and expected to be in the 70’s tomorrow, the weather is awesome. Emerald bay hike was really nice, parking is a nightmare though I would head out early. The gondola ride opens on the 17th we were going to ride it but it’s closed right now. Heading to a beach tomorrow. Safe travels.

I have been three times but always stayed in North lake Tahoe at the Hyatt. I know alot of folks were going to the Bownanza Ranch Tour but I cant say I was a huge fan back in the 70s so have never gone. Hiking and scouting for animals was my thing as I just loved being out there. You guys will enjoy it but it will be crowded in the summer months......just ENJOY!!!

Just got back last week from Tahoe. We stayed at the Edgewood resort right at the state line. The restaurants at the Edgewood resort were outstanding. If you’re a golfer, the Edgewood also has a great course.

Take a day trip up to Truckee. There are some cool shops and a pretty good restaurant there in downtown Truckee. Take a drive all the way around the lake. Lots of beautiful scenery. Take a trip down Lakeshore Drive up near Incline Village. Some of the most expensive real estate in the country. I recommend a sunset dinner at the Sage in the Harvey hotel. Good food and great view of the lake from the 19th floor. We like to gamble a little bit, and Harrahs was very good to us. Take a hike down to Emerald Bay, but don’t get suckered into the cruise to Emerald Bay. It was pretty lame. Toulouse’s in South Lake Tahoe for some surprisingly good Cajun style food. Unlimited hiking opportunities.

I’d skip the Covid though…wife came home with it and passed it to me. Thanks, Lake Tahoe.[emoji849]

My Wife and I went there......26 years ago for our honeymoon. Had our trip canceled to Costa Rica due to our first born in the womb. Doctors made us stay stateside. We had a great trip, ate good food, and hit the casinos. I do remember we ate at a great restaurant on the north side of the lake. It snowed two nights while we were there that May. Enjoy your trip.
