Had one all the way with cheese Saturday night with tater tots and the juice dripping off your fingers makes it so much better.

Another great cheeseburger I've had was at Carl's BBQ on 290!

Dairy Mart in Mineral Wells makes a good burger.

Had a hundred of those growing up......Not sure if it's better than Woody's now that I'm an adult but wouldn't turn one down by any means

I've got to be in Downtown Dallas this weekend, trying to talk my wife into Jake's, Keller's, or Maple & Motor....but she's already discovered Rodeo Goat next to our hotel.

For a traditional burger go to maple and motor. Very good. Daughter likes the fried bologna… rest of us get burgers and share tater tots and fries.

Wife talked me into trying Rodeo Goat a couple of years ago and they are very good! You can get a traditional, if you ask, but they are known for their “other” burgers. I typically get the Brad Sham with the BBQ sauce on the side.

You can get cold beer at either place but Rodeo Goat has a deeper selection and variety.

Can’t go wrong with either and heck try both and compare!

The cheeseburger at Maple $Motor in Dallas was legit, not world class but reallly **** solid. Onion rings are nothing to write home about, but they have Coors Banquet on tap!

Best burger I’ve ever had was Christian’s tailgate (the original)in Houston but runner up was Scott’s drive inn in Wichita Falls

We just had Hamburger Depot in Beaumont….really good!
Hole in the wall, but great burger!

Lip locker and oriental fries at Kitok, Or Double-R Waco TX. I got to say, have not ate a burger in years at either one. Got to watch my figure.

Mine now.

I use a slight variation of the recipe shared here. Half of the ground I use is elk mixed with the beef. Family requests it more often than I like to make it.

Going to give Rodeo Goat a shot tomorrow in Dallas. That Second Breakfast Burger is calling my name. Burger patty, sausage patty, hashbrowns, bacon, and a scrambled egg.
Watch out!

I haven’t had a Dairy Bar jalapeño cheese burger in probably 40 years.
That needs to change.

If any of y’all are playing baseball or softball in Franklin, do yourself a favor and drive the 6-7 miles down to the road to the New Baden Store and get their burger. You will not be disappointed. They have a great old fashioned cheese burger. I haven’t found another one to beat it but of course I haven’t been to most of the places mentioned in this thread.

Had burgers there years ago when my son had a tournament at the Franklin fields. Great burgers!!
