Wrench Knife

When a a knifemaker gets bored but has to try out a new sharpening system they got at Christmas. I figured every person who makes knives should at one point have made one of these or a goofy horseshoe knife but I skipped that phase and was working on the car yesterday so it only seemed right!
A little fire, hammer time and and grinding. Really liked the sharpening system. It was easy and you can get your preferred angle on the blade. I’m a fan!

Did you mix anything with the chrome vanadium, to make it softer, or is there anything like annealing you could do soften up the steel, or does that steel work like it was?

It’s the elite version of the work sharp professional sharpening system. Comes with 6 grits, a fine stone and strop. Pretty impressed with it at a fraction of the costs of similar sharpening setups. I now have about 5 different ways to sharpen my blades depending on how I feel that day
