Yep, another help pick a caliber

1. 6.5 Swedish / 6.5 x 55
2. .280 Remington
3. 6.5 cm
4. .308
5. 300 savage

My moose hunting days are done with, but aoudad , elk , mule deer, wt are still in the game list every year, maybe some more nilgai?
Thought about.264 win mag again, but have 2nd thought it

I am also buying a xbow and will consult with my local archery center for that setup unless I hear some convincing advice on here

Yeah a 275 rigby is a great round , 7mm-08 is probably easier to find ammunition

.338 win mag was not on the list but this is good for when you change your mind and want to kill something bigger or go to Africa for plains game. dont listen to "its too big" you can get 160gr loaded and it is a real screamer.

I personally would go 7mm-08 or 280 AI. My next option after that would be 6.5 PRC.

I like the .308. Big enough to take what you mentioned, good selection of different bullet weights and the ammo is normally easy to find.

That means a lot to me coming from you. I have a REM 700 7mm-08 I need to get set up right, and a Bergara 6.5PRC that doesn’t even have a scope yet. I need to get to work quick! I really wanted a 280AI but never found one in the rifle I wanted.

I personally am not impressed with the 6.5CM.

I have a 6.5 and a 7.08 both shoot lights out but the 08 just kills alot better
