A good friend of mine's wife admitted the other day that she'd neither seen nor heard of Dazed & Confused!
And it's not like she is young either, she's in her 40's...

Heck, my 22 yr old knows most of the script!

Trainspotting

Very dark.
Very funny.
Very serious.
Not for kids.

Best thing is, you can watch it ten times in a row, and still keep picking things up. Your ear has to be trained to listen to a Welsh accent.

Might still be in theaters, not sure, but I had never heard of it. The weekend before the snowpocolypse wife wanted to go to the movies. She picked News of the World. I was skeptical but it ended up being a pretty dang good show.

About 22yrs ago, we visited a niece in Chicago.. having recently seen the movie, i specifically went to the Field museum to see the "man-eaters of Tsavo"

For a cowboy comedy, The Villian with Ann Margaret, Arnold Shwarzenegger, and Kirk Douglas..

Ashamed to admit I had never watched Dazed and Confused. The sound track and all the cars and trucks was worth the time not to mention that it should be a Texas cult classic. Thanks to all for bringing it to my attention

I bought that movie in the 5 dollar bin at walmart about a year after it`s release. One of the best westerns I have seen. I watched it 2-3 times at deer camp for 5-6 years. Great movie.

I love the movie. It was about the graduating class of 1977 as they went from juniors to seniors(my graduating class). The music, cars and hair was spot on. We didn`t have as much pot as that movie shows or I just wasn`t around it.

Also made a trip to see these lions after watching the movie. That movie has a line I have borrowed and used over the years to make a point:

“You went into battle with an unproven rifle?” Charles Remington

Outlander (series on Starz) is pretty great also. My wife is obsessed with it but I enjoy watching with her.
...with one caveat... Season 1 Episode 15 "Wentworth Prison" is so disgusting it's almost impossible to watch.

Russell Crowe is never in a bad movie. Some of the best naval action scenes from the period I found it very entertaining.

On another note, recently watched "Bad Day for the Cut" on Netflix and it was surprisingly good. Similar to Blue Ruin (another indie thriller) and under 2 hours.
