                        Really neat pics.
                        Cool to see the power lines in the pics, sometimes 1895 sounds prehistoric.

                        Anyone care to explain the caption below the last pic?

                        “ Where Just enough cold is had to kill out germs of decomposed vegetable matter.”

                        Was veggie germs something they were dealing with prior to the freeze over?
