My boy's (5 yo) first purchase

For the past 4 or 5 weeks my boy has been "working" around the house. His "jobs" are - feeding the dogs & special "jobs" assigned by me and mom. He had found this toy at tractor supply & that was his goal.

Today he experienced the "fruit" of his labor


He learned a lot of valuable lessons:
- difference between jobs & chores. Jobs pay, chores are what we do because we are part of the family
- tithing from every pay day
- paying himself 2nd (saving 10% every pay day)
- denominations of $
- patience & perseverance

Funny moment- just finished dinner & I asked him if he was going to do his job ( feed dogs), he paused for a moment & looked up & says "I still gotta work even though I already got my truck?"

Yes, son the work continues!


He will sleep fine. He was at a swim party before his big buy, he's yawning while in the tub !
