    2012 f250 6.2 motor tick

Ran the truck for about an hour today and killed it. When I Crunk it up to leave it has a "typewriter" tick from the drivers side of the motor. I changed the oil and added Lucas like I always have and it didn't change anything. Tomorrow I will run it with no belt and check for loose sparkplugs and then pull the valve cover. I changed the plugs and injectors about 5000 miles ago. Motor has 226,000. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Update: lol. It was a spark plug wire off of one of the 16 spark plugs.

          Congrats on a cheap fix!

Something we can all look out for on our gassers.

For a minute I thought you misspelled Chevrolet.

I’ll bet that was a relief to find out it wasn’t something serious.

For sure, I just knew it was a rocker arm tapping.

Lol, I replaced it with a duramax yesterday. If the dmax is as good to me as that ol ford has been ill be in good shape. The ford has 226,000 miles and I still wouldn't be afraid to hook up a gooseneck and roll out.

You bet, I lost sleep over it last night. One of my employees is going to buy it so I was bitting my fingernails.
