Uniquely Texas Christmas food

Tamales are not uniquely Texas but still good.
A black eyed pea recipe would be good and buttermilk pie also sounds about right.

Lot of recipes use Dr.Pepper. Google The one for chocolate sheet cake. It’s moist and yummy. Also Cherry Dr. Pepper is great as a spritz for ribs or pork butt. I use it on every smoke.
