Please age this deer...

I would like to think what you guys think the age of this deer is...I would call this deer to be 4-5 yrs, but the landowner is telling me this deer is 7 yrs old and I just don't see it. What are your thoughts?

I have to agree, I looked at the deer trying to see a 7yr old, theres no way that deer is seven.........if he is, I hope I age that well.........

I think it is impossible to tell with no prior history. All deer are different. This buck is 7.5 yrs old and most would say he is a 4 yr old based on body.

Let's see:

Protine Feeder;

Full belly + full neckline + thick backstrap, but narrow muzzle = 5 to 5.5 season old.

I think this is a well fed deer not so much a very old one.

I think he's 5.5 too, but if someone told me he was older I would not debate it too much.
Are there pics from any other year?
I believe once they get past 5.5 it is hard to age off pics from one season.
There is not much difference between a 6.5 and a 7.5 year old deer.
He is mature and loves the protein.
