    H p d

We were coming back from Mountain Home this morning and started noticing H P D cars running radar pickets in what I thought was Walker county. They were out past Pederson road in Brookshire and the last one was on the southwest side of1463. Is Houston’s E T J that far out now?

Cities are no longer able to enforce the 5000' ETJ's they use to have. It is null and void no matter what they say!

Maybe Waller Co., but surely not Walker.

            Extra-territorial Jurisdiction

Basically an area that is outside of the city limits, but that a city still has some rights to control. Also, the area in the ETJ is the area a city may annex in the future.

Areas outside of city limits that are still within their jurisdiction.

Are you sure they were actively running radar? If you saw a bunch of slick tops waiting on the side of the road then it might be highway interdiction waiting on a load of dope or money. They sometimes get called out to other areas because they have a truck mounted x-ray machine to find traps and hidden compartments. Saves time from tearing a car apart. Just a guess, but I've been wrong before.

New Krispy Kreme just opened in that area.

They were approximately a mile or so apart, black and whites and a couple of ghost cars. One had a soccer mom pulled over. It caught my attention because they were out of the county. I’ve never seen Brookshire p d on the freeway or even Waller county constables.

Trail dust they need to save their money, take a hard right on 1463, and pull in at Shipleys! They’ve been around since 1950-51 and know how to make donuts!
