PEX Pinch Clamps

If you are using pinch clamps on PEX pipe spend the coin to get a name brand, SharkBite or Apollo. I made the mistake of buying some noname clamps off of Amazon. After one failed i did a little investigation. The band material of the noname clamps is about 30% thinner than the Sharkbite clamps. So when crimped the band stretches and fails to seal the joint. You can tell the difference in the effort required to crimp the rings. Nothing like finding a leak after the wall is sealed up and painted!
