I think Popeye’s gets theirs at Tractor Supply. That’s about the size of their chicken pieces.

I thought Popeyes fried pigeons. Surely chickens can’t be that small.

X2. We have also been buying from Ideal for years. In my opinion, they have the healthiest chickens.

          Same.

Weve also bought Cornish Crosses from Metzer Farms the past 2 years. Same mail delivery and post office pickup. The time to harvest is incredibly short and the meat is fantastic.

          Good luck MrSlick.

Jennie gets hers from Ideal Poultry. They mail them right to the local post office and I pick them up there. We've had great survival rates with their chicks.

Thx Curt. She’s on the Ideal site now.
She’s down to 5 hens so looks like her girls are about to get some babies.

Get your brooder ready. They need it for 10 days or so.

That’s a pretty cool service! What breed has worked best for y’all?

My quail brooder would work for those chicks. Large walmart tote, red lamp, doggie pee pads, pine shavings.

I couldn't get pics of my brooder to load but pretty simple. Bin from Walmart and heat lamp from tractor supply. You want to adjust light to get temp in the brooder to 90-95 degrees.
