This is my grandmother's venison backstrap recipe, it was published in the San Antonio Express News years back. Very quick and easy with simple ingredients, but still one of my favorites. Made it tonight for the family.

I saw that too. Unfortunately this recipe was cut out years ago, instead of keeping that whole page

This is so true!!! Bacon drippin's are one of the basic seasonings for sure!!!!

Buddy of mine asked about one of my recipes and after I sent it to him he e-mailed back "what's bacon drippings?" (He's a yankee). I told him and his response was "My wife won't let me cook with that." I got a chuckle ouf of it big-time.
